The First Nation of Ojibwe California is a gathering of Anishinabe individuals and families across California. The purpose of the FNOC is to gather all the Anishinabe across California to come together to practice and engage our culture, traditions and language.
The FNOC is a collection of Anishinabe individuals and families that have wound up in California. What is unique about the FNOC is that many of its members are from different nations of Ojibwe across the United States and Canada. The intent of the FNOC is so that Anishinabe individuals and families can get together to share and keep our culture, traditions, and language strong. By coming together we can keep our heritage alive even though we are far from our traditional lands. By doing this we won’t lose our heritage, we get to keep it, and live it.
